No tablet. No stylus. Just a mouse, a reference photo and thousands of clicks.
Mannoh John is a freelance digital artist. He paints every piece with a computer mouse, starting from a photo and turning it into a bold, textured portrait.
Send a photo of you, your artist, your character or your brand. He turns it into a unique piece of art.
From photo to painting
- 01The referenceEvery piece begins with a photo or image: a pose, a face, a look worth keeping.
- 02Blocking lightBig masses of light and shadow go down first, clicked and dragged into place.
- 03Mouse strokesThen thousands of short strokes build skin, hair and texture, one movement at a time.
- 04Distortion & noiseLiquify, graffiti, type and glitch layers push the image past the photo into something new.
